DHAL [LENTILS] HALWA RECIPE

INGREDEINTS FOR DHAL [LENTILS] HALWA

Green lentils [moong dhal]  – 1 cup

Raisins – 2 tbsp

Cardamoms – 4 [crushed]

Almonds – 2 tbsp [crushed]

Ghee – ½ cup

Sugar – 1 cup

Milk – 1 cup

Saffron – ¼ tsp

METHOD OF PREPARING DHAL [LENTILS] HALWA

Soak the lentil over night, and then grind them finely to a paste. Crush the saffron and soak in one tbsp of water. Heat ghee in a pan and fry the lentil paste until light brown. Stirring continuously.

Add raisins, crushed cardamoms, saffron and milk. And cook on low heat. Add sugar and stirring gently. And cook until halwa leaves from the pan.

Remove from the flame and transfer into a serving dish.

Garnish with crushed almonds and serve
