FRENCH BEANS WITH COCONUT


INGREDIENTS
French beans ½ kg
[Cut into small pieces]
Coconut – ½ cup
Green chilies – 5
Onion – 1 [cut into small pieces]
Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Gram dal – 1 tsp
Urad dal – 1 tsp
Curry leaves – 1 strand
Red chilies – 2 [cut into pieces]
Oil – 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
METHOD
Heat oil in a pan and put mustard seeds, red chilli pieces, gram dal, urad dal, and curry leaves and fry.
Add French beans, turmeric powder and salt.
Mix gently and cover the pan with a lid and cook in low flame at least 10 minutes.
Grind the coconut, onion, and green chilies without water.
Add this coconut paste and cook for another 5 minutes.
Serve hot with rice or chapatti.
