MUTTON RIB CHOPS RECIPE

INGREDIENTS FOR MUTTON RIB CHOPS

Mutton with ribs – ½ kg

Onion – 1 [chopped]

Tomato – 1 [chopped]

Salt and vinegar to taste

Garlic flakes – 4

Ginger – 1 piece

Chilli powder – 2 TSP

Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp

Pepper powder – ½ tsp

Oil – 2 tbsp

Cumin seeds – ½ tsp [roast and powdered]

Cardamom – 2 [powdered]

Cloves – 4 [powdered]

Cinnamon – 2 [powdered]

Curry leaves – 1 strand

METHOD OF PREPARING MUTTON RIB CHOPS

Cook the mutton chops with salt and water. Add vinegar and cook again until tender and the gravy is about 1 cup.

Heat oil in a pan and fry for 5 minutes. Add tomatoes and fry for another 5 minutes.

Add ginger paste, garlic paste, pepper powder, turmeric powder, chilli powder and fry for 2 minutes. Add the cooked mutton.

Pour the gravy and cook on low flame. Add the powdered spices. Cook again till the gravy become thick.

Garnish with curry leaves and serve hot.
